Twilight Tension: Robert Pattinson Steadies for New Moon

How much tension was there on the set of Twilight for Robert Pattinson? Most reports have the handsome young star involved with sexual tension on the set with is co-star Kristen Stewart. That has been rejected by Kristen and now reports have Rob the object of many of young Hollywood's adorable young stars, including Natalie Portman.

So what about that tension? Us Weekly magazine has a short item and this claim. "Twilight star Robert Pattinson, 22, and director Catherine Hardwicke, 53, really bared their fangs shooting last year’s blockbuster!"

"Catherine had an idea about how Robert should play his character, and Robert did not agree,” an on-set source tells the Hot Stuff section of the weekly entertainment magazine. "They would argue all the time." In fact, says the source, “I think it might be a big reason Catherine is not coming back for the second film.”

FYI, Director Chris Weitz, who shot The Golden Compass, will helm the sequel, New Moon. Us reports that denails are in and cites a Summit Entertainment spokesperson that says, “There is absolutely no truth to any of this."

Listening to the Music of Robert Pattinson, Time to Explore the Talent

I truly wish Robert Pattinson would record some new music. I have read in several interviews that he thinks it would be kind of tacky to put an album out in the midst of his new superstar status. I really hope that he doesn’t let his fear of the whole actor/singer cliché stop him from creating using other art, especially his music. His voice is very soothing and soulful. I love the acoustic guitar, and the unique tone of his voice, and the fact that I don’t always get all of the lyrics.

I didn’t expect his signing voice to sound the way it does. In fact, I remember watching the restaurant scene in Twilight and making a mental note to myself that I really liked the song playing in the background. I bought the soundtrack and imagine my surprise when I found out it was Mr. Pattinson himself. I had no idea.

Although I was disappointed to hear that he wont be on the New Moon soundtrack, I respect and admire his reasons for turning down the opportunity. He said in an interview he “doesn’t want to make money off the back of someone else’s work”. He seems like a very genuine and grounded person. I only hope he can stay that way with all of his recent success. Hopefully the hype will die down soon and he will be able to live a somewhat normal life, and more importantly record some music.

Jason Mesnick & Molly Malaney Stunner: Bachelor Winner Melissa Rycroft Loses

The Bachelor winner is Melissa Rycroft. Now she is the loser, or something like that. Molly Malaney is the loser, or the winner. Melissa, the brunette, won over Jason Mesnick for a few weeks. She got the ring in New Zealand. But now the bed hopping Bachelor has jumped away from Melissa and dumped her and Jason goes right into the arms of Molly Malaney, the little blonde that told one of family members that she still loves Jason, and knows how to have a good time.

The show seems as wild as any season, at least at the end. The quick concise version is this, Jason picks Melissa to be his bride, she accepts and they hug (along with his 3-year old little kid Ty) and it looks like happily ever after. But this is reality Tv and a twist and turn always works good for ratings, so this should work if Jason dumps Melissa.

And alas, Jason tired of the former NFL cheerleader and as an extra bonus he tells her to hit the bricks in the 'After the Final Rose' show. She calls him a bastard and he finally gets her off stage so he can bring in the fresh Molly for another roll at it with her.

Molly actually agrees to see the guy that dumped her on national television, then dumped his one time fiancee' right before asking her for another go. More on Jimmy Kimmel is promised from the network with a little cross promotion.

Playboy Playmate Jayde Nicole and Audrina Patridge Spice Up The Hills

It's catfight time reports In Touch. The magazine notes that although The Hills just started filming the fifth season, feuds have already erupted. The item notes that "On February 27, while enjoying a night on the town at Hollywood hotspot My House, Audrina Patridge, 23, and Brody Jenner's Playboy Playmate girlfriend, Jayde Nicole, became embroiled in a heated fight."

"They were filming for The Hills and Jayde was rolling her eyes and being rude to Audrina," an onlooker tells In Touch. "Jayde and her girlfriend finally approached Audrina and went crazy, yelling at her." It looks like Jayde, 23, wasn't very happy about Audrina's relationship with Brody, the report from ITW claims.

"Jayde has always been jealous of Audrina and thinks Brody has a thing for her," says an insider. "But Brody and Audrina are just friends." The night ended with Jayde leaving, but seeming to need assistance because she appeared tipsy. Audrina insiders insist, "She thinks Brody is a good friend and that's it." Jayde and Brody, 25 have been dating for five months.

End Bachelor Shocking:DeAnna Pappas, Melissa Rycroft & Molly Malaney?

Will DeAnna Pappas muck up the ending of "The Bachelor?" The bikini clad former Bachelorette may not have to. There have been more than a few reports about a switch by Jason Mesnick (aka 'the Bachelor') involving Melissa Rycroft and Molly Malaney. First let's deal with the saucy DeAnna, as she butted into this season. According to a report from celebrity magazine In Touch gives an insider look from a contestant on the show and details that Molly and Melissa still had to deal with one more major competitor in the form of DeAnna Pappas, the woman who broke Jason’s heart by turning down his marriage proposal on the July 7 finale of The Bachelorette.


The report adds that recently, the newly single DeAnna flew down to New Zealand, where Jason, Molly, Melissa and Jillian had traveled to film the final episodes of the Bachelor. Former contestant Jillian, the season’s third runner up, tells Life & Style it was a move that threw the other ladies off their game, but seemed genuine.

“I think DeAnna really cared for him, just like I did,” Jillian says. In the end, however, he opened his heart to a new love - who will finally be revealed on the show’s shocking finale. “What I do know,” Jillian says, “is that he will find the life he intended on finding.”

Jonathan Bennett Finds Place For Hot, Dorky Guys: 'Van Wilder'

Those hot, dorky guys can't seem to catch a break! Luckily for Jonathan Bennett, he's found a perfect role in the newest "Van Wilder" film hitting theaters March 13. "I don't see myself as the hunky guy. I'm more of a dork trapped in this body," says the good-looking actor, who first turned heads in his breakout role in Mean Girls.

"It's the hardest thing ever. They always tell me I'm too dorky to play the hot guy and too hot to play the dorky guy, so I'm somewhere in between. Van Wilder is, too, which is why I was so happy to play this role. I was born to make people laugh. If I can make people forget about their day for 10 minutes, then I'm doing my job."

The role was originated by another hunky dork, Ryan Reynolds, who has become more of a hunk than a dork as of late. Stepping into his shoes left Bennett a little apprehensive. "Yeah, you're a little nervous at first, but I actually met Ryan in passing just a few days before I went to shoot it, so I introduced myself, and he was really nice. I apologized in advance if I butchered the character. He laughed and told me to just have fun with it. I feel like I was able to make it my own in some way."

The movie, which goes back in time to Van Wilder's freshman year, also stars "Laguna Beach" reality star Kristin Cavallari. "We had so much fun, and she totally held her own acting-wise. She came to set prepared, and that was more than I got from a lot of my other co-stars."

$50 Billion Daily But Only $246 Million Over 11 Years to Stimulate Hollywood? Senator Thomas Allen Coburn (R-OK) or Senator Tom Coburn, M.D., as he usually styles himself, truly is a taxpayers’ hero. His latest achievement strikes a taxpayer-giveaway the very description of which probably is the closest to humor anything in the monstrous “stimulus” package contains. “Believe it or not,” with apologies to Robert Ripley, the stimulus legislation as proposed includes the sum of $246 million to be dished out in a certain fashion to Hollywood - over the next eleven years.

Perhaps the definition of stimulus is to be so broad as to include irritation, sardonic humor and longevity. Does this inclusion in the $820 billion (or whatever the final figure may be) package portend a continuation of our recession or depression for eleven years? One WEBSTER definition of the noun stimulus is “something that rouses or incites to activity.

The first time she posed when she was seven months pregnant with our first daughter. Lisa was so proud of her body when she was pregnant and the womanhood of that. "They came back to her 10 years later, saying, 'You're 45, and you've had two kids, but your body is still in amazing shape. What do you think about doing it again?' and she agreed. For me, it's six of one, half a dozen of the other. For her, it's very meaningful, so I'm there to support her in anything she wants to do. Britney Spears and her father, Jamie Spears can rest easy tonight after a Los Angeles court hearing today decided to extend the temporary restraining order against former manager Sam Lutfi until March 18. Today’s hearing revealed disturbing details from Britney’s hairstylist and bodyguard. As reported by OK! magazine, the hairdresser, Roberta Romero, who has been styling Brit’s hair for over a year began receiving text messages from Sam Lutfi in early December.

According to Romero’s testimony Lutfi had sent several texts asking her to give Britney a message that he was "trying to help her," but she refused, telling him that she believed him to be a bad influence on Brit.

When Hilary Swank failed to thank then-husband Chad Lowe in her Oscar acceptance speech, the omission caused a media uproar. But when Sean Penn thanks his "circle of longtime support" including best friend Sato Masuzawa (his assistant), but fails to thank wife Robin Wright Penn -- or, for that matter, mention Harvey Milk – in his "Milk" Best Actor acceptance speech, the omission goes all but unnoticed.

When Angelina Jolie told the BBC last fall that she was going to slowly wind down her movie career in order to spend time with her children, she was quoted all over the world in Angelina to Retire stories. But now that she's making the spy thriller "Salt," and still has a To Do list that includes going to Russia to play Catherine the Great in Randall Wallace's "The Mercenary: Love and Honor" -- not to mention still being expected to star in "Atlas Shrugged," scripted by Wallace -- few notice she doesn't seem to be winding it down. Maybe it's so slow it's imperceptible.

UNEXPECTED: Ryan Murphy has made quite a name for himself by pushing the envelope on his show "Nip/Tuck" -- which is why it's surprising that he would sweeten things up a bit with the upcoming musical comedy "Glee."

"Totally. You're like, 'What? Ryan's doing a show about a high school glee club?'" acknowledges Jessalyn Gilsig, star of the forthcoming Fox show. "I knew he'd done 'Popular,' so it's not his first teen comedy, but this particular show is really sweet and very heartfelt," adds Jessalyn, who also played Gina Russo on "Nip/Tuck."

"One of the things about 'Nip/Tuck,' I know it has very shocking subject matter, but it's really preoccupied in dealing with the sense of trying to belong, and that's such a high school thing," she notes.

However, as she points out, a talented writer is a talented writer. "I feel like people will watch this and say, 'Oh, this is what he does.' He's just very good that way. It's sort of like a novelist who writes something set in Ireland, and then does something set in Italy, but you'd swear that person was Irish or Italian based on the book." While the show has not been given an exact premiere date, it is expected to snag the post-"American Idol" timeslot in the spring.

"We're just starting the first episode after the pilot right now. We're really excited," she says. "It's a very strange time obviously. To say I'm grateful to have this job is probably an understatement. Everyone's just glad to be working, and Ryan has such a clear vision that we're excited to go deeper into it."

American Idol Group 2 (Results) Three Contestants Make Top 12

American idol again seems to be struggling with change as this show was a tough one, but the group 2 results are in and if you were waiting for a big surprise you won't see it this week. The top three contestants were fairly easy, certainly the fist two were absolute locks. The Thursday night results show is another piece of the puzzle to whittle down the new format of the Top 36, down to 12 and then it's the wild card fun.

Tonight's show had only one moment where we weren't exactly certain who was staying and who would need some wild card help. The first two are anti-cliactic as the Adam Lambert is in and certainly can work a stage and you can add Allison Iraheta right into the top twelve as well.

Robert Pattinson and Paris Hilton's Asian Coincidence

Robert Pattinson has made his way from Los Angeles all the way over to Japan. Guess who else just happen to make the trip? it appears that someone has a very blonde socialite fan and we have quite the Asian coincidence as Paris Hilton just happen to be in Tokyo, Japan at the same time as Pattinson. It is a small world after all. Rob is in japan to promote his film, Paris is there with what is being called her boyfriend. Did she really follow Rob?

Back to the set, or at least what will be soon when New Moon kicks off.
